Restaurant Reviews Los Angeles Hollywood Cleo Restaurant and Library Bar at the Redbury Hotel review by Foodie and French Chef Natacha Mannhart

Located in a relatively small, stylish boutique Hotel in the heart of Hollywood, the cuisine is Middle Eastern, small plates. This new hotel is located across the world famous Capital Music Records building. Cleo is the new baby of the Sbe restaurant management group.

You enter through a relatively small door and reception area to see the maître d'. The ceilings are very high and the scale of the place is actually quite larger than it first appears.

We were seated at a nice corner table and were quickly offered many recommendations from a knowledgeable waiter. We tried the dried Brussels Sprouts appetizer to go with our cocktails. I had the Vinebury cocktail, which was sweet and lightly spicy and delicious, and I tasted the White Beluga, a Vodka Martini with an egg white that makes the drink very smooth and unusual.

There were many tasty-sounding dishes, and we ordered too many of them. Some of these plates can be very dense, rich and filling. For example, we ordered the cucumber and yogurt dip, and they brought it with a fancy flat bread in a paper bag.

The most impressive was the Ravioli dish with a very unique flavored sauce. It also featured a soft boiled egg in the center. This plate was followed by a Mussel Tagine with a delicious saffron aroma. We also had an Artichoke Flatbread with melted Aged Mozzarella Cheese.

After the meal, go upstairs to the Library Bar for more drinks and a game of pool. On a warm evening, enjoy the outdoor patio. The indoor area has a living room feeling with candlelight and framed pictures of golden aged starlets.

Old feel of the Hollywood Golden Age has been recreated in this recently new opened hotel in Hollywood. They made a great job, a must see if you like the concept.
